 At first, my essay skill was very poor. Even I did not writing one paragraph. Although it was only once a week, I felt that essay skill was improve. Coastguard killed by Chinese fisherman

 A member of the Korea Coast Guard (KCG) was stabbed to death by a Chinese fisherman illegally operating in South Korean waters early Monday morning, with another officer sustaining critical injuries.

 The Incheon Coast Guard said it spotted a 200-ton Chinese boat fishing illegally in waters 85 kilometers southwest of Socheong Island near the maritime border with North Korea in the West Sea at around 5:30 a.m. Monday.

hybrid car VS regular car

           I have owned a car. But my car’s age is five. So my car has bad fuel efficiency. Also generating capacity is lower than the newest car.

These days, eco-friendly cars are being produced for reducing destruction of the ozone layer. That is hybrid car. Take Hyundai’s Sonata, for instance.

Sonata hybrid car is apparently similar to a regular car. Also hybrid car and regular car have similar generating capacity. Hybrid maximum capacity is 150 horsepower. And regular car maximum output is 165 horsepower.

           Contrary to regular car, hybrid car’s price is very high. That price is similar to upper model. such as Grandeur, K7 and so on.

The price of regular car is from 20 million to 26 million won. On the other hand, Hybrid car is from 30 million to 34 million won. In contrast regular car, hybrid car use gasoline and electricity.

 The largest difference is a fuel-efficient. Hybrid system is cutting fuel consumption. So official fuel-efficient is 21km per 1 liter.  But regular car is 12km per 1 liter. Also hybrid car is more eco-friendly because using electricity.

           In my case, I like regular car better than hybrid. Compare the hybrid car, price is cheaper about 8 million won. Although it difference about fuel efficient maybe I will select regular car rather than hybrid car. The price difference is too large.

between Guryong village and Dogock-dong

How to compare between Guryong village and Dogock dong?

    In the late 1980s, The Seoul city was demolished slum. Pardonably, That people move into the Guryong village. Initially, 2500 people were inhabited. But now about 1240 people have inhabit Guryong village. My sister is living in Kepo-dong near Guryong village. When I first saw the Guryong village, I feel unfamiliar scenery. It different near Dogock-dong 
 The Guryong village is an unlicensed shack, So, Guryong village people have not resident registration. They occupied housing for over 20 years, Residents could not claim ownership. Because that place is Unauthorized area. And pay not residence tax.
As you can see the picture, Guryong village’s streets are very dirty and unsanitary.
 Also, more than 50 percentage of people’ income are less than 1 million won.

On the other hand, Dogock-dong is much better place to live for Seoul. The street of Dogock-dong is very clean, and transportation also is very convenient. Most people are very rich. An apartment price of square meter was 35million won. That price was very higher than other apartment of place. 
 Dogock-dong is near kang-nam station. So, If your company is in town, you could easily go to your company. Maybe you could save your morning time.
Most people of Dogock-dong have a lot of money. Most people have high profile position.   

So these are the reasons why I feel very strange between Guryong village and Dogock village.

I'm against it

As you could walk around Seoul, you can see that a lot of Street vendor are scattered all over a Seoul. The city of Seoul is our nation’s capital and Most of Foreigners want to visit Seoul. How do they think of street vendor?

First, Sometimes a street vendor was overcharged for foreigners. So Korea’s image was fall from street vendor. Also we can think about Seoul’s policy. What is Seoul’s policy?? Seoul’s slogan is Design Seoul. That mean is making more clear and convenience Seoul. But street vendors were especially one of the obstacles.

Secondly, Most of street vendor blocked the way and doing business. So pedestrians feel inconvenience. And they are exposed to an unexpected incident.  If that is the case, who do you take responsibility for this matter?

Third, how do you think about street vendors’ sanitary?? Maybe it was not sanitary.

Once again, you can think about selling food on street. Many cars go through street alongside street vendor. Sanitary?? No. They can never be managed sanitarily.

Also you can think about other product. Did you believe that product’s quality? How to get after service?? We can think about it.

Lastly, I hold it my duty to pay the tax. But they did not pay their taxes. They are not fair.

           Street vendors are danger, and unsanitary, not fair. Most of street vendors are illigal.  We think about this issue, how to deal with street vendor’s problem.

About street vendor

Do you know a problem of street vendor in Seoul? I know that all street vendors are illegal. But we do not kick them out other place.

How to deal with a problem of street vendor?? I knew that most owner of street vendor was poor people. A problem of street vendor do not explain and judgment without our society’s poverty

Especially, around 1990, IMF resulted in the layoff of over 550,000 people. So unemployment shaped street vendor are increased. And they struggled to succeed their business.

Is it really kicked them out to do that?

15years ago, my aunt was not yet 1 year in her house, moving other house. Because of she had not money. So she bought a handcart. Because of she wanted establishing her business.  At that time, I don’t know poverty. My aunt always was tired. But she did not rest. But thanks to street vendor, she saved a little money. So she could buy a house.

One reason that I mentioned story is that poor person did not have a power of rising in person. So we have to permit establishing their business. Street vendor is important field to help poor person improve their economies. I suggest that government collect taxes a little than other store owner. And government waits to rise themselves.

We should have to make an environment in which poor people live themselves.

Other opinion is that street vendor is our culture itself. Street vendor offer a verity of things. if you seen a product of street vendor, you will feel funny. Now, street vendors must go to develop a single cultural code. Government do not kicking them out and accept and must development for cultural code.

Brove my life!!

In 2009, I was graduated from college 2 years ago.  At that time, I really want to get a job. such as oil and electronic company. Because they can gave me a lot of money, and convenient life. And guarantee the retirement age. Winter in 2009, I passed selection of candidates by examining their personal histories at S-OIL company and I enjoyed the honor to pass the job interview. But last gateway, Physical test was failure. Because I have some problem of my ear. I was diagnosed with noise induced deafness. I don’t know that I have slightly hearing impaired. Eventually, I did not join in S-OIL company. I do not prefer listen to loud music. I avoid a noisy street and area.  But My ear is broken. I visited clinic of ear-nose-and-throat. A doctor could not find a any problem. A noise induced deafness(diagnose name) do not interfere daily life. Anyway I was very disappointment and I felt frustration.

My mother said, “Don’t disappointment, Why don’t you go to University ?” I was immediately put in a document of University transfer application. And I passed the University entrance exam. When I heard the pass the entrance exam, I was really happy. At that time, I was dream to get a job, and I want to enjoy company life. But now, I go to university. I am satisfied in my life. Unlikely collage in 2006, My campus life is very delightful.

Now I am again encounter problem of job search. But all is well. I have full of confidence. My ears might be a problem, May I will overcome my problem.

Do you know Buseok Templ?

 I want to tell you about my memory. The name is Buseok Temple in Yeongju.  

The place is nearby Andong. 10 years ago, When I was high school, I was visited Buseok Temple. At that time I don’s know imformationg of Buseok Temple. So I could not especially feeling. But this time is different. When I prepare the travel, I really want to visit Buseok Temple.

 Buseok Temple has very old structure. Especially, column of Baeheulrim is known for Korean traditional wooden architecture. The middle of the column is bloat. But the upper is narrow. It is prove to be a 500 years history.

 Buseok Temple is always quiet and peaceful. when I stand in front of main hall, the scenery is beautiful beyond all description and as if I could fly.

 When I went to visit the Buseok Temple, weather was very good for walking my friend.

Buseok Temple remain the big memory for me.

Again I hope to visit there.

General Lee Sun Sin

I’m going to talk about general Lee sun sin.

I respect him.

Let me elaborate in my opinion.

First of all, In 1952, Japan was invasion for our nation. At that time, General Lee was prevented our nation against Japanese’s invasion. He made a Turtle ship, and Turtle ship has important part of Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592 on the Sea. Eventually, General Lee have won a Japanese invasion. Lee sun sin have renown for World Big 3 of Minister of Navy.

So these are the reasons why I respect general Lee sun sin.
